Student self-government of the Institute is built on three levels:
  1. Academic level

Faculty
The general institution level is the student self-government "Zhas Orda", which includes students from all faculties.
It is important to note the inseparable link of all three levels of student self-government of the Institute. There is a continuity of students at all levels and collective participation in various extracurricular activities: "Dedication to students", "Two stars", "Miss ArkGPI", Day of laughter, "Hello, we are looking for talents!".

Young people are organized actions, forums, flash mobs, festivals: "Symbols of the State", operation "Clean Coast", the action "Victory of the Leader of the Nation is our Victory!", Flash mobs "The World Without Nuclear Weapons", " Be a patriot. "

One of the most massive, to which, first and foremost, it is necessary to include the primary student trade union organization operating on the basis of the ArkGPI. Almost all students are members of the union. The student trade union organization has its representative offices at different levels, which are subordinate to the chairman elected by the students. The trade union is engaged in protection of rights and social support of students.

On the basis of the Sokol Children's Center, I. Altynsarina successfully implemented the program of the pedagogical unit "Line of Success". The level of training of counselors allows each shift in the camp to make it particularly interesting and diverse.

In June 2015 the STUDIC project "Student Self-Government and Democratic Participation in Kazakhstan" of the Tempus IV program was completed. In this regard, a plan was developed and a new model of student self-government with its own peculiarities, tasks and traditions was created.

The effectiveness of the implementation of the model of SSU in the Institute is evidenced by a number of points:

The result of the implementation of the SSA model was a significant improvement in the formulation of all work with students, the improvement of the overall "climate," the relaxation of tension between students and the administration, and a dramatic change in the situation in hostels.
The presence of the system of SSA allows you to put, calmly discuss any of the most difficult problems and come to mutually acceptable solutions.
The work on the implementation of the SSA model led to a significant increase in the number of students participating in the project
